First Meeting
First meeting this weekend, what do I even ask?
Have my first proper meeting with a guy on Sat. Coffee, just the two of us, parents are not coming this time.
I am so bad at this. Last time I froze and we just talked about weather and traffic for 40 mins lol.
What are some actual qs that tell you if the person is worth a second meeting? Dont want to interrogate him but also dont want another weather chat. Help pls.

Also notice if he asks you questions back or just talks about himself the whole time. Big tell.
Money habits. Saver or spender, who pays for what, does he expect you to quit working. Boring but it decides your future.
Ask how he spends a normal Sunday. Tells you more about real life compatibility than any serious question.
Dont interview him. Just talk like a human. If it flows for 2 hrs without effort, thats your answer right there.
Keep it light the first time. One coffee cant decide a marriage. Just check do you feel relaxed or on edge around him.
Ask about his parents and how involved they will be. The joint vs nuclear expectation surprises a lot of couples later.
OP update us after Sat pls, rooting for you. And breathe, he is probably as nervous as you are.
Deal breakers only. Kids, city, working after marriage, religion stuff. Rest can come in meeting 2 and 3.
Ask what he is looking for in the next 5 yrs. If the answers are vague, he hasnt thought about it seriously.
Watch how he treats the waiter. Sounds cliche but it is the fastest character test there is.
